After an accomplished 25 year career as a marketing/advertising professional in Chicago and 10 additional years as an innovative and authoritative consultant in the same industry, Chris has dedicated his “encore career” in service to the addiction recovery field. From the beginning of his service 15 years ago as a volunteer at Hazelden Chicago to his most recent position as Recovery Advocate at the Hanley Center at Origins in West Palm Beach, Chris’ approach with clients has always been marked by enthusiasm, creativity, and a belief every client must be met where each is at in the recovery process before further transformation can take place.
Aside from his longstanding volunteerism to both recovering individuals and their associated programs, Chris’ service has included such varied activities as bedside detox calls, spiritual lecturing and group discussion, consulting for a treatment center start-up, the Recovery Coach Professional credential, and one-on-one 12-step counseling to both executive level and older adult populations at Hanley-Origins. Chris remains very active as a member of the spiritual community and student of spiritual curriculum.
Chris will continue his sober coaching and guidance at Trinity via the 12-step process to ensure that every resident has the best opportunity to maintain sobriety, achieve personal transformation, and find peace and contentment in recovery.
